The mission of the Phlebotomy Technician program is to prepare students for entry into a global workforce as a Phlebotomy Technician.

This program will prepare students for entry-level position as a Phlebotomy Technician in the hospital or clinic. The compentencies of this program follows the duties and responsibilities of a Phlebotomy Technician as outlined by the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians. Topics of study include anatomy and physiology, phlebotomy practice and health care setting, infection control, legal and regulatory issues, and the venipuncture procedure. The students will also demonstrate their skills in lab and in the clinical setting. The students will be encouraged to attain their national certification through the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians. Upon completion of all program requirements, the students will receive a certificate of completion.

Phlebotomy Tech Gainful Employment Disclosure

The goal of the Healthcare Training Institute is the prepare the graduate to take and pass the Phlebotomy Technician Certification Exam, obtain their certification, and gain employment as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
