The mission of the Electrocardiograph Technician program is to prepare students for entry into a global workforce as a Electrocardiograph Technician.

This program will prepare students for entry-level position as a Electrocardiograph Technician in the hospital or clinic. The compentencies of this program follows the duties and responsibilities of a Electrocardiograph Technician as outlined by the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians. Topics of study include anatomy and physiology of the heart, health assessment, introduction to electrocardiology, electrocardiology leads, and cardiac arrhytmias. The students will also demonstrate their skills in lab and in the clinical setting. The students will be encouraged to attain their national certification through the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians. Upon completion of all program requirements, the students will receive a certificate of completion.

EKG Tech Gainful Employment Disclosure

The goal of the Healthcare Training Institute is the prepare the graduate to take and pass the Electrocardiograph Technician Certification Exam, obtain their certification, and gain employment as a Certified Electrocardiograph Technician.
